We are looking forward to meeting you in our next GLAD network online seminar on How to reduce skills mismatch on the labour market and address workforce’s skills gaps through lifelong learning?

It is proposed at the initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova as an opportunity of mutual exchange and learning within the GLAD Network.

In particular, the initiative is important for the:

  • Public Employment Service: to increase the employability of workforce;
  • Ministry of Education and Research: to improve lifelong learning policy and increase the participation of population in lifelong learning;
  • Ministry of Labour and Social Protection: to increase employment and participation rate on the labour market, to avoid migration of workforce.

It is an exchange on existing good practices on governance of non-formal education: authorisation of training providers, research on labour market needs, involvement of civil society and collaboration with government, role of companies in this process.

Georgia will share their experience in addressing the needs of labour market to find people with the right skills (after economic crisis and COVID pandemic) by providing short-term re/upskilling training to youth and adults. There is a specific authorisation procedure introduced for this kind of short-term courses (from 2 weeks to 6 months).

This event is part of GLAD Network mutual learning activities. The main working language is English with interpretation into Romanian.
