The Baku State Innovation and Industry Vocational Education Center has started providing a distance learning process by joining the Microsoft Teams platform offered by the Ministry of Education to provide educational programs to students during the educational process.
The Center continues to develop appropriate video lessons for students to stay out of the classroom due to a temporary break in the training to prevent the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the territory of Azerbaijan. Video lessons developed by the Center are available on the Center's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ7S5s9qCKp0vW1WdVu_ing ), Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/bakustateindustryinnovation ) and Ministry of Education’s video portal (https://video.edu.az/vocational-school )
All developed video lessons by the Center are in line with the current vocational education curriculum. The courses cover the 8 specializations taught at the Center.

Starting from March 29, 2020, the "Mədəniyyət” (Culture) TV channel will start broadcasting the series of tele-lessons called "Lesson Time" on vocational specializations. Tele lessons are aimed at deepening the theoretical and practical knowledge of students in a number of specializations and providing short explanations and guidance on the subject matter.
At present, the preparation of video lessons for the following specializations: “Industrial Installation Works”, “Construction”, “Car Diagnostics and Repair” and “Automation” are completed. In the coming days it is planned to expand the list of specializations.
The timetable for tele-lessons on vocational specializations will be announced shortly.
Those who cannot watch the "lesson time" on TV can also watch these lessons on the electronic resources of the State Agency for Vocational Education.

Distant and E-learning solutions from Azerbaijan

Thank you Firdovsi, Just in Time as we try to understand how our partner countries respond to the COVID 19 crisis. I will have a look at the links.
Azerbaijan is doing very well with distance learning in VET. And this is not an easy at all. Teaching skills online is challenging. Do you have information for specific on-line courses for adults in Azerbaijan that have been activated due to COVID 19 crisis?
The COVID-19 pandemic showed again that the VET sector in almost all countries was not ready to offer online courses. I agree with you that, it's not an easy task in VET provision.
So far, the video lessons portal of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan (https://video.edu.az/) https://video.edu.az/vocational-school?id=22) posted 26 TV lessons for VET students on the following 8 specializations:
1. Electrical engineering - 2 lessons
2. Construction - 5 lessons
3. Industry - 4 lessons
4. Mechanics/Mechatronics - 3 lessons
5. Electronics - 2 lessons
6. Automobile - 1 lesson
7. ICT - 6 lessons
8. Automation - 3 lessons
Video.edu.az portal can also be accessed by downloading its app from Google Play or App Store.
Recording of TV lessons on VET specializations is being continued.
Those who could not watch the "Lesson Time" on TV will also be able to watch the lessons from the electronic resources of the State Agency for Vocational Education.
Firdovsi many thanks for these examples. Please feel free to add more examples from Azerbaijan. We are now mapping the situation with innovative teaching tools due to COVID 19 in the countries, and it is really great that thanks to you we do have very concrete examples from Azerbaijan VET. For information, here I am sharing the link to the first ETF mapping report. https://www.etf.europa.eu/en/news-and-events/news/coping-covid-19-eu-ne…. The second ETF mapping report is due 6th of April.
Hi Firdovsi - that is impressive. Readers may also like to see some of the video resources gathered by ETF, together with handbooks and research at https://openspace.etf.europa.eu/wikis/what-video-pedagogy
