What happens with the skills in countries that suffer post-crisis consequences?

How can labour market actors and education providers follow and face the rapid changes of the skills and knowledge landscape?

Is it possible to prepare for such situations? What should be done if the country has passed the crisis and is now trying to develop effective solutions to overcome its consequences?

These and other questions are to be discussed at a webinar organised by the Institute of Professional Qualifications together with the National Qualifications Agency of Ukraine. The event will bring together members from several countries of the Eastern Partnership within the framework of the European Training Foundation project Skills Lab Network of Experts.

The main purpose of the event is to discuss various aspects of skills development in the post-crisis conditions of countries, i.e. the periods associated with overcoming the consequences of war, natural disaster, economic crisis, pandemics and other similar situations. All of them are related, among other things, to significant changes in the labour market, required skills and employment structure.

Among the specific issues, the following topics are proposed for discussion:

     - Current trends in the formation and development of skills in the European region and the countries of the Eastern Partnership (subject to the participation of representatives of the relevant countries);

     - The impact of crises on the labour market and modus operandi of providing the countries with appropriate skills.

Participants and speakers will include European Training Foundation staff, members of the ETF project “Skills Lab Expert Network”, experts from Ukraine and other countries.

English – Ukrainian simultaneous interpretation is provided.
