As part of the series of webinars ETF is conducting to transform education in the South and East Mediterranean (Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Palestine, and Algeria) into innovative teaching and learning practices, a webinar entitled “Innovative models in on line and blended environment in the Arab speaking world” is set to take place on February 16, 2022 at 4 pm (Beirut time). The webinar aims at describing these models which range from audio and video based to web based. The webinar will present creative online teaching and learning activities along with creative online assessment techniques, and hence help teachers to design innovative and effective online instruction and assessment.

The webinar addresses vocational and secondary teachers to learn about  innovative teaching and learning activities implemented by teachers in the Arab world during distance learning. There will be three speakers in the webinar: Dr. Nehme Safa, Mr. Fouad Ibrahim, and Mr. Rabhi Saeed.

Dr. Nehme Safa will share best innovative web based models used by his teachers during remote and blended learning. These models pertain to different subject areas. Some of these models include features that enable teachers to pinpoint student strengths and weaknesses. Employing these models will help teachers maintain quality learning while teaching remotely.

Mr. Fouad Ibrahim is a Lebanese secondary economics teacher and principal. He will share his innovative practices of teaching economics using the whiteboard feature of Microsoft Teams. Mr. Ibrahim will present how the whiteboard kept his students engeged during distance learning.

Mr. Rabhi Saeed is a Jordanian Physics teacher and curriculum expert. He will share his innovative online teaching practices of secondary Physics using different platforms.
