The "Vocational Education at Absheron Peninsula and beyond" is a unique publication released by the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) in cooperation with the State Agency on Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education. The publication provides an overview of Azerbaijan's opportunities, which entails recruiting skilled graduates in various professions, engaging in vocational education processes through internships, examinations, practical training and curriculum development, or further qualifying existing personnel in advanced training.
Initially, the publication was planned to be released and distributed in 2020. However, the project was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the challenges it brought along. This guide for companies facilitates the process of finding young skilled professionals in the occupational fields they require. The readers can get information about the selected vocational education centres and their specialisations, the dates of internships, and the expected number of graduates in 2021 through the profiles of the designated centres. Partnership projects between active AHK member companies and the respective vocational education centres may inspire the reader to involve with the vocational education and training community themselves. The guideline contains 17 vocational education institutions and 14 company statements.
We express our cordial thanks to the representatives of vocational education centres and companies who gave us their valuable time by participating in our survey and sharing their views with us in interviews and discussions.
