What are the core elements of quality assurance in vocational education in training (VET) ? What is the role of VET quality assurance in modernising VET, making it more relevant for today’s fast changing labour markets ? What are the pre-requisites for developing a quality culture in education?
In order to address these important questions with its community of stakeholders, in November 2017 ETF launched a Forum for quality assurance in VET. The Forum is a transnational collaboration between national institutions with VET and/or VET quality assurance mandates in ETF’s partner countries. The aim of the Forum is to support member countries to modernise and improve quality assurance in VET through peer learning. The Forum is inspired by the European Union’s EQAVET Network. Its Quality Assurance Reference Framework for VET serves as an instrument to guide the work of the ETF Forum.
The takeaways from the Forum are best described by one of its members, Dalia Taha, the National Contact Person for Egypt (National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, Egypt).
