Context

The DIGI ENE Initiative for digital excellence 2025 is a follow up of the Digitalisation in education and the role of Centres of Excellence | Open Space (europa.eu) lunched in 2022 under the ETF NETWORK FOR EXCELLENCE | Open Space (europa.eu)

The ETF is providing DIGI ENE members with the opportunity to showcase a collection of best practices at the Forum for Vocational Excellence and to take part in peer-learning visits with key VET stakeholders in Denmark in September 2025.

About the peer learning activity 

Objective

The whole peer learning activity aimed at promoting collaboration and educational enhancement through the development and use of educational technologies. It was going to provide an immersive experience to the participants, facilitating networking with other practitioners; encouraging reflection on the individual needs and transfer of knowledge (through study visits at hosting partner institutions & co-design sessions for collective knowledge sharing).

STEP 2: study visits at educational institutions willing to share their practices and expand the collaboration. The study visits to leading VET actors and institutions in Denmark, leaders in innovative teaching and learning were planned for the following 2 days: 

day 1: September 10th across Jutland and Fyn

In close collaboration with CoVE projects in Denmark, the following study visits were proposed to the participants (https://www.copcoves.eu/forum-on-vocational-excellence-2025/day-3-wednesday-september-10th/). 

day 2: September 11th in Copenhagen

Morning session: the DIGI ENE delegation met representatives of 2 institutions at Digital Hub Denmark:

  • Digital Hub Denmark is a non-profit organisation who connects tech talent, startups, companies and investors with opportunities in Denmark. Digital Hub Denmark is a product of many key actors in the Danish public sphere: the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Industry sectors and associations are represented by the involvement of organisations such as the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Finance Denmark and the Confederation of Danish Industry. Digital Hub Denmark welcomes international delegations curious to learn about Denmark's digital transition.   • EdTech Denmark is a cluster association connecting over 70+ member organizations—startups, schools, municipalities, NGOs, research institutions, and corporations—focused on learning and technology. Serving as a pivotal organization, EdTech Denmark fosters collaboration among stakeholders in learning and technology. Afternoon session: DIGI ENE collaborative meeting 

The afternoon was dedicated to an interactive and highly collaborative session titled “Idea Sprint Circles.” This activity was designed to foster networking among DIGI ENE members while stimulating creative thinking and joint project development.  During the session, participants worked in small, dynamic groups to generate, refine, and prioritize ideas and identify potential areas for collaboration. The atmosphere was open, energetic, and solution-oriented, reflecting the spirit of collective innovation that defines the initiative.
