Thank you for reading this post, hopefully we can get some of your input!
We are a startup from Prague in Czech Republic, focusing on making it easier for educators and administrators to search for, find and acquire didactic training tools.
BACKGROUND
In late 2019 we put together and distributed a survey to understand how educators and TVET institutions acquire didactic equipment for their classrooms and training centers.
Our goal was to understand the current process, the pros and cons associated, and how the respondents imagined this could be better done in the future.
We selected 300 respondents: TVET consultants, educators and heads of TVET institutions, engineering faculties, ministries of education and some of the funding agencies.
Analyzing the responses gave many insights, but the main messages were crystal clear:
- Educators and administrators spend significant amount of time on a yearly basis to evaluate and acquire technical training equipment and didactic tools
- There exists no independent source presenting “proof of learning impact” of the different didactic tools from different providers, customer is forced to trust the words of the vendor
- The industry of didactic learning tools is rather obscure than transparent in terms of product specifications, costs, expected impact etc.
RECENT OUTCOME
These findings prompted us to design and build a solution to alleviate these problems, namely a digital marketplace for technical training equipment: Edquip.
Below the value proposition for educators and administrators:
- SEARCH: quickly search and find products for your field from various different producers worldwide
- COMPARE: easily get a comparable overview of how different products compare to each other
- REQUEST: request quotations directly from producers, our RFP format makes their bids comparable
- REVIEW: read or write reviews and ratings of both producers and their training systems
CURRENT NEED
The Edquip marketplace has now been online for a few days and is running smoothly. We are currently trying to identify usage patterns and improvement possibilities.
This requires a combination of user analytics anonymously collected from the website, and conversations with educators, administrators and TVET experts.
Thus, we are looking for the following support:
1. If this sounds interesting; just go to our website, approve the cookies, and explore its functionalities for 5 minutes, register, compare products and request a quotation if you want. Since we collect anonymous user statistics, we will identify trends and improvement possibilities etc. just from your usage of the website, link here: www.edquip.co
2. After you have visited the website, if you have time for a 15-20 minutes video call to discuss the functionality, any feedback and suggestions for improvement.
If you only have time for option 1 above, it will still be very helpful for us and we thank you for this!
If you have time to set aside for point 2 above and would like to shortly give us feedback, then feel free to email us to setup a call: info@edquip.co or just comment with your email below in this post and we will reach out to you.
