This is an event report following the implementation of the webinar Lessons Learnt from Innovative Teaching and Learning conducted by the Community of Innovative Educators on November 25, 2021.
The goal of this event was to discuss the opportunities and challenges of innovative teaching and learning. On this event we gathered practitioners/experts in innovative teaching and learning that have shared their experiences with us. Our guest speakers were:
- Nada Sokolovic - Bosnia and Hercegovina, teacher of Mathematics and Informatics in OŠ"Osman Nakaš" Sarajevo. She was presenting online tools for better engagement of students. She is the winner of the "Teacher of the Year" award in the category of subject teachers in the Sarajevo Canton in the 2018/20219 school year.
She is an active member of the eTwinning community and has received EQL (European Quality Label) awards for her work in several eTwinning projects. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Nada Sokolovic has held several webinars on the use of web tools and passed on her knowledge and experience to colleagues who had no experience working with web tools.

- Milosh Andonovski is a theatre director, with teaching aspirations. For a while, Andonovski has been the only qualified Drama teacher in N.Macedonia.
This year, he obtained his MA degree in Theatre Making as a Chevening scholar at the University of Kent in England, and started working as a Macedonian language and literature teacher at the American High School in Skopje.
Andonovski was talking without a PPT presentation about applying Drama activities in the classroom to support and diversify the learning process. His approach, as well as his presentation, were with “no technology”, the approach that can be used in every classroom and is not dependent on more than a good will of teachers and students.

- Simon Grižonič - Slovenia, teacher in Srednja tehniška šola Koper, online teaching adviser and entrepreneur. Simon Grižonič is and mechanical engineer and e-learning adviser. After working in the industry for several years as an CAD/CAM expert, designer and project manager, he followed his passion for teaching and became a teacher. As an enthusiast audio engineer and photographer, he used his knowledge to make quality video tutorials for his students. After years of experience, he started teaching other teachers and entrepreneurs the technology behind online trainings. Until now he filmed several online trainings and taught hundreds of teachers and entrepreneurs how to make their own online trainings and get better at online teaching.
He was speaking about how to Use video tutorials to maintain and raise the level of knowledge in your class. He was talking about the technology behind home-made (class made) video tutorial production. He showed how easy it is now a days to film, edit and share videos with our students. He also shared his experiences using videos for maintaining and raising the level of knowledge of students.

The event continued with questions and open floor discussion. Participants were intrigued and asked questions how different approaches can be used in classroom. Presented examples and experiences can help teachers in introducing some innovations in their classrooms.
