How should New Learning look like?

After attending our CNL meeting in order to validate the results of 5 reviews of different themes related to CNL, I came to the following conclusions.

Which elements should be key in New Learning:

-Collaborative learning: certainly learners learn more in collaborative setting and also educators that collaborate gain in their professionalisation

- Learner Agency: learners that have more voice and choice learn better; more self-directedness, higher autonomy for learners; learner needs analysis provides useful information to start off.

-Hybrid Learning is key: a well thought mix between digital and F2F learning leads to better performance

- Continuous feedback makes any learning process stronger. Therefore, it should be cyclical, very frequent and personal, preferably in feedback dialogues.

-Authentic problems or projects that are closely related to the workplace are key in creating urgency to learn and provide thrilling experiences

- Educators should shift their roles from teaching to coaching. Coaching is essential, but that we know since coaching is very close to providing continuous feedback !

If we can create this type of new learning in the next decade, I will be very happy .... and with me thousands of learners, adults, professionals, youngsters, ...
