With the results of the literature review came the idea of developing a reference model for educators. A model that could be used to identify professional practices and development needs of 21st century educators in a structured way. Our aim was to create a model that would not only cover the professional practices of teachers and instructors in vocational education and training, but that could be used by educators in different sectors.

This resulted in ‘READY’ a Reference model for Educators' Activities and Development in the 21st-centurY.
