Last week, the ETF Vocational Excellence project-Network for Excellence team (ENE) actively participated in the Congress ‘TVET Excellence for all’ that took place this year in Donostia - San Sebastian, Spain from 15 to 17 June. The event, regarded as one of the most prestigious in the domain of VET witnessed the attendance of more than 1,000 delegates from around the world with dozens of sessions and discussion that tackle a variety of relevant topics.
Organized by the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) and TKNIKA (Basque VET Applied Research Centre), the unique international event 2022 included practical workshops, ones that are facilitated by the ETF in bid to acquire participants some knowledge about the conceptualisation of ETF approaches on VET Excellence and Internationalization, the role of international self-assessment tools, key research needs on Vocational Excellence and how to run awarding processes for Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs). “The event is timely and came as an extremely important opportunity for learners, especially youth to sharpen their skills and get acquainted with the latest trends in the area of vocational education and training.” Said José Manuel Galvin Arribas, Senior Human Capital Development Expert - Coordinator for Vocational Excellence Project, and one of the facilitators of the ETF organized-sessions during the event.
Throughout the three day event, the agenda of activities included multiple discussions on issues such as partnerships, skills development and social inclusion, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, employability competencies, post pandemic labour markets and future of work.
