Organisation: ANVT Hub - Aqaba

Description of the practice:

The challenge ANVT addresses is the skills gap in Aqaba, where many youth lack practical skills despite holding degrees, contributing to high unemployment. In response, ANVT designs and delivers training aligned with employer needs, enhancing employability.

ANVT's practice is innovative as it merges a Competency-Based Approach with Project-Based Learning, focusing on hands-on activities complemented by relevant theoretical knowledge. This dual approach is enhanced through advanced technologies like AR and digital exams, enabling dynamic, real-world skill acquisition.

The role of the trainer at ANVT extends beyond instruction. Trainers act as Leadership Facilitators, guiding trainees in developing both technical and leadership skills. They foster collaboration and mentorship, especially through advanced joint projects, which promote peer learning between trainees with different levels of experience.

Learning activities are highly practical, with trainees working at various workstations, practicing skills directly tied to industry needs. The final project assessments emphasize "learning by doing," ensuring trainees can apply their skills immediately in real-world contexts.

Impact: ANVT’s approach has led to increased graduate employability, with graduates being readily absorbed by the job market, as evidenced by social security data. This practice not only improves individual career prospects but also addresses regional unemployment, contributing positively to Aqaba's economic development.
