Setting of the practice: online

Description of the practice:

The challenge that the practice aims to solve is to provide a rich and diverse educational resource for students and teachers in the context of remote learning. The practice uses augmented reality technology to create an electronic library that contains books, videos, games, and interactive activities on various topics such as space, nature, history, art, and sports.

The methods of the practice are to use the Wakelet program to create augmented reality content and upload it to the Microsoft Teams platform. The practice targets students from 6 to 12 years old, and encourages them to explore the electronic library independently or in collaboration with their peers or teachers. The practice helps students develop skills in reading, research, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving.

The innovation of the practice lies in using a new and interesting technology to attract students’ attention and increase their enthusiasm for learning. The practice offers a different educational experience from the traditional one, where students can interact with the content in multiple ways and share it with others. The practice benefits from the capabilities of Wakelet program in creating rich and engaging content, and from the capabilities of Microsoft Teams platform in supporting communication and collaboration.

The possibility of transferring the practice is high, as the programs used in it are free and easy to use, and do not require any special equipment except a smart phone or a tablet. The practice can be applied in any educational environment, whether inside or outside the classrooms, or at home or anywhere else. The practice can cover many areas of the curriculum, and adapt it according to the needs and interests of the students.
