Description of the practice:
TeacherX is an online teacher training platform that embraces the principle of sustainable professional development. TeacherX offers educators the opportunity to receive training from subject-matter experts and academicians, regardless of their location and schedule. Our motto is "Empower Teachers, Empower Society." Teachers can exchange ideas within professional learning communities and access differentiated resources provided by TeacherX by evaluating their progress through our structured self-assessment system. We employ an LMS that also includes an administrative account, allowing directors to monitor teacher attendance and track their progress. In today's multidisciplinary world, it is no longer sufficient to train teachers in just one subject; they must also develop their interdisciplinary skills. Currently, we collaborate with over 300 institutions, serving nearly 20,000 educators.
Just as students have individual differences, teachers also have unique needs. Teacher training should be planned in line with the principles of adult learning. Traditional training formats do not offer the flexibility to revisit missed topics. TeacherX offers self-paced learning, enabling educators to revisit topics at their convenience. Subsequently, when planning in-person or online training, the emphasis can be placed on discussions and deepening the understanding of the topic rather than lecturing. After face-to-face training sessions, teachers do not have a platform to share the materials they use when transferring what they've learned to their own teaching. With the learning community in TeacherX, they can share these materials and gain the opportunity to learn from each other.
