Description of the practice:

The Volunteer - Donate - Educate project aims to bring children closer to volunteering as a voluntary investment of their time without monetary compensation for the benefit of others or the common good in order to improve the quality of life in the community. Together with students, explore ways to volunteer, connect and collaborate with local associations and societies, organize and participate in small volunteer activities at school and beyond. Through our activities, we want to draw attention to the active participation of students in the community, and thus in society. We also encouraged the active participation of children in the environmental activities of the school, local community and beyond, through which students will acquire habits of responsible behavior towards the environment and sustainable development. Volunteering makes changes in society! Think global - act local! In designing project activities, I was guided by an interdisciplinary approach and interdisciplinary connection. Through all project activities, a number of different outcomes and educational expectations were achieved. These are just some of them:

Promotes solidarity in school.

He behaves in accordance with human rights in everyday life.

Describes and respects the needs and feelings of others.

He develops an image of himself.

Distinguishes between positive and negative human impacts on nature and the environment.

He notes that there is interaction and interdependence in nature.

He explains that action has consequences and results.

Recognizes examples of sustainable development and their impact on the local community.

Describes how the individual acts to protect natural resources.

He is solidary and empathetic towards people and other living beings.

Recognizes the importance of preserving the environment for the common good.

Collaborative learns and works in a team.

The student, with the occasional help of the teacher, communicates with famous people in a secure digital environment.

At the urging of the teacher, but also independently, the student self-evaluates the learning process and its results and assesses the progress made.

The student discusses the importance of a responsible attitude towards oneself, others and nature.

The student concludes about changes and relationships in nature and the interdependence of living beings and space on examples from their environment.
