Green education and formation of green skills in our country is a new challenge, and therefore its introduction requires great efforts and diverse approaches. Our activities in the direction of green skills development are very diverse and we try to implement various activities. The vector of our activity is aimed at the professional development of Georgian teachers, because they are the people who can best bring the idea of green education to students and help them to form green skills.

We try to help educators in different ways. For example, we have prepared resources - handbooks and activity kits for both students and teachers, which provide them with information on climate change, water resources, green energy, as well as green and circular economy, etc. about issues.

We also prepared training modules on sustainable development and environmental responsibility, according to which we retrained teachers of Georgian schools. The experts of the National Center for Professional Development of Teachers have prepared a completely innovative interdisciplinary project "My Climate Friendly School", where everyone's educational discipline deals with this issue from their own perspective and creates a topical mini-product, and the final product is the installation of a solar collector created by students from secondary materials in the school yard. The project is in the pilot mode, as consultation meetings with schools show us, it has a very positive response among students, which is manifested by their high involvement. We also have a similar project on water resources and drip irrigation systems.

On the initiative of the Teacher's House and the University of Europe, within the framework of social responsibility, we conduct webinars for teachers on sustainable development goals and green skills. We invite experts from various fields to the webinars.

This is a small list of the activities that we carry out in order to introduce and spread green skills. The results of these activities are the implementation of various activities by our trained teachers and their students, e.g. Establishment of eco-puppet theater, arrangement of greenhouses and installation of drip irrigation systems, etc.

I think the resources and activities we offer help teachers to conduct the learning process more interestingly in both formal and informal situations, because the action-oriented transformative pedagogy we offer has become an acceptable and interesting approach for them.
