We often hear that, in order to keep up with the many changes taking place in our societies and education systems, 21st Century educators must change their role and practices, evolving from a "gate-keeper of knowledge" to a "gate-opener to knowledge, skills and attitudes".

But what does this mean in practice? What are the new areas of competence and the new approaches that teachers and trainers should invest in?

To answer these questions, the webinar will focus on the recently launched ETF Reference model for Educators' Activities and Development in the 21st-centurY (READY). The model contains the domains of professional activity, the related practices, and the development needs of 21st-century educators, and offers a space for discussion on how these new characteristics could be developed in real-life teaching settings. The model is currently being adapted to be used in Israel.

Agenda:

- Introduction: Why a new role for educators?

- The READY Model

- How to implement the model

- Open discussion

The webinar will be in Zoom in EN, with simultaneous interpretation in AR and RUS.
