The Department of Vocational Training  in Morocco has set up, by Ministerial decision, a team "responsible for monitoring quality assurance in the vocational training system in MOROCCO" made up of heads of division of the department and representatives of all public and private training operators in addition to several directors of vocational training establishments, in particular institutes with delegated management.

The missions assigned to this team are:

*Follow the evolution of the quality assurance system in the vocational training system and propose ways of improvement;

*Keep national actors informed of initiatives aimed at supporting the modernization of quality assurance in their training systems;

*Develop a communication strategy aimed at the promotional dissemination of quality assurance;

*Coordinate the exchange with the "ETF Quality Assurance Forum" in which MOROCCO is a member.

To support the members of this team to carry out these missions, they must be trained so that their knowledge of quality assurance is continuously reinforced, updated and enriched by good practices.

 It is with this objective that the Department of Vocational Training made a request to the European Union via the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) to mobilize expertise for capacity building, via training, of the team responsible for monitoring of quality assurance in the vocational training system.

This training was provided by Mrs DANA STROIE, Deputy Director, responsible for training programs and quality assurance at the National Centre for Vocational Education and Training Development in Romania.

The training focused on:

*Overview of international practices in terms of quality assurance in vocational training systems (case of different countries of the European Union): can we draw up a typology and bring it closer to typical country contexts?

*What key processes should be put under quality assurance in a national, sectoral and/or territorial system for monitoring, identifying skills needs and determining the appropriate training offer to meet them?

*What quality assurance should be put in place in the training implementation process?

*What quality assurance to put in place in the evaluation process of the training system?

*Conclusions on the quality assurance system in the vocational training system in MOROCCO (use of group work during the previous days)

See details on the attached Agenda

The training was characterized by:

*Great interactivity between the Moroccan team and expert DANA STROIE;

*A comparative analysis between the vocational training system in Morocco, that in Romania and good practices at the international level, in each of the stages of the quality assurance cycle: Planning, Implementation, Assessment and Review

*The formulation of several recommendations for improving the quality assurance of  vocational training in MOROCCO, at both system and provider levels, especially in terms of operationalising the general QA framework, by developing and implementing specific instruments
