Yesterday, the European Training Foundation (ETF) presented key findings and possible ways forward from the ETF's pilot of #SELFIE in #Armenia.

In relation to Armenia's Mentor School project, SELFIE has been piloted in Armenia in 2023-24 as a tool to support the development of digital capacity in mentor schools, which provide distance learning solutions to rural schools affected by teacher shortages.

Coordinated by the European Training Foundation (ETF) in partnership with the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, and in close collaboration with the National Centre of Educational Technologies of the Ministry of Education of Armenia (NCET), the pilot has been successfully completed this February. A pivotal role has been played by the ETF national expert Satenik Arakelyan and by Raisa Avetyan (NCET).

Yesterday, the EU Delegation of Armenia, key international players including UNDP, ILO, GIZ, ADB, and the Erasmus+ office actively joined the event, providing suggestions and wishes for further implementation.
NCET confirmed the objective to extend the use of SELFIE broadly in Armenia.

To go bigger and deeper, the need for resources and coordinated approaches has been highlighted, reflecting on related challenges and synergies.

For this reason, in March, I will visit Yerevan to discuss with relevant national and international stakeholders on how to follow-up the pilot of SELFIE in a coordinated fashion.

Finally, a paper, including key findings and policy options for the continuation of SELFIE in Armenia, will be finalized in February and shared through various media channels, including OpenSpace, stay tuned!
